Cleaning/Fixing your Mighty Mouse’s Scroll Ball

This is one of the most annoying things about the Mighty Mouse. After awhile your scroll ball will cease to work properly. Usually, this is because it has gunk under it and needs to be cleaned. I’ll give you a few tips!If your scroll ball just has gunk under it, it still “works” just fine. It just needs to be cleaned. The best way to do this is to take a towel or cloth and douse it in a little rubbing alcohol. Then roll it over your scroll ball repeatedly. Another option, if you don’t have any rubbing alcohol around, but do have a woman in the house is to borrow her nail polish remover. Both methods work, but won’t necessarily fix it for good. You will probably have to repeat this process again sooner or later. Still, beats spitting out another $60 for mouse!
