Changing the Desktop Background

The default Apple desktop background is pleasing to the eye, however it’s nice to be able to customize your computer the way you like it. This quick tutorial will show you exactly how to change your desktop background.

  1. Left click on the Apple logo on your Menubar on the top left corner of your screen. Next, left click on System Preferences.Open system preferences.
  2. Click on the Desktop & Screen Save icon. Click on Desktop & Screen Saver
  3. As you can now see, under the Desktop tab there are many images you can select from. Left click on any of these and your desktop image will change. Use the sidebar on the left column to navigate among different kinds of photos and even your own iPhoto Albums.Select your desktop image
  4. Should you want to use your own images from a specific folder you have on your hard drive. Click the + button and navigate through the drop down window to you folders location. Once you have your folder selected, click the “Choose” button. Add more image folder with the + button
  5. Lastly, you can setup your desktop background to change the picture at a set time interval. Left click the “Change picture” check box and select a time interval. If you want your images to be selected randomly, check the “Random order” check box as well.Check the change picture check box to set a time interval

Now your desktop background is even more beautiful then ever!
